The role of Housing Options Officer (Domestic Abuse) is a newly created position in response to the Domestic Abuse Act 2021. The successful candidate will need to be able to give specialist housing advice for clients at risk of homelessness and at risk from domestic abuse and investigate claims of homelessness, potential homelessness and housing need. Arrange temporary housing and support where required and to assist people to find appropriate and adequate accommodation.
This post is a fixed term contract for 2 years.

Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills, work well within the team and work effectively with vulnerable members of the public. In addition, applicants need to enthusiastic and highly motivated and enjoy working in a demanding and challenging environment.
Experience of working in domestic abuse and housing is essential.
