We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified SEND Teaching Assistant to work within our Enhanced Mainstream School for Cognition & Learning.

Our Enhanced Mainstream School is part of Stockton’s offer to support students with Education Health Care Plans for learning difficulties.

We are extremely proud of our Enhanced Mainstream School and the bespoke and differentiated package that we are offer the students. We aim to ensure all students feel supported and guided with their learning, along with feeling nurtured in their social and emotional needs. We are looking for someone dynamic, caring and motivated who has a desire to work with students with Special Educational Needs and who is passionate about preparing them for the future.

We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified SEND Teaching Assistant with the following skills, knowledge and personality:

- A passion and interest in supporting students with learning difficulties.
- Experience of working in an educational provision is desirable.
- Good interpersonal skills enabling effective liaison with teaching and support staff teams
- An understanding of the National Curriculum expectations at Key Stage 3 and 4
- Commitment and dependability within the work place with ability to use your own initiative
- A professional, nurturing resilient approach
- The willingness to work flexibly and constructively as part of a team, to providing day to day classroom support to students
- To establish positive working relationships with the student, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs
- To be willing to deliver bespoke interventions to identified students.
- A proactive and positive attitude in wanting to help, guide and support vulnerable students.

The successful candidate will work in a strong, supportive school team under the direction of the SENCO.
