Six month Secondment Opportunity:  to provide Specialist Support to develop speech, language and communication needs.
 
The Governors of this happy and inclusive school wish to provide a two-term secondment opportunity for a creative, hard-working, enthusiastic and highly motivated Specialist Support Assistant to support the development of our pupils’ speech, language and communication.
 
We provide outstanding educational opportunities for our pupils who experience complex MLD or Autism Spectrum Disorder: we have an outstanding staff team, an exciting and creative approach to the curriculum and wonderful children.
 
We are seeking to appoint a specialist support assistant who:
 
  • Has an understanding of the development of language and communication skills
  • Understands the difficulties presented in both educational settings and the wider community as a result of SLCN including ASD
  • Has experience of working with both verbal and non-verbal children
  • Has knowledge and understanding of effective strategies for supporting pupils in the classroom

 
The secondment is planned to start from January 2024 and end at the end of June 2024.
