A vacancy has arisen within the Technical & Bereavement Team who deliver the day-to-day service of removing graffiti and fly posting throughout the Borough
About the role….
We are looking for an individual who is hard working and work well as part of a wider team. The successful candidate will have a passion about improving the local environment for both residents and visitors to Gateshead.
The main function of the role is removing both offensive and non-offensive graffiti within the Borough of Gateshead. This will include the use of a high-powered jet wash and some tasks can prove physically demanding.
You will be expected to work Borough wide and respond to requests that are received via the Council’s online reporting system. The ability to be able to operate mobile devices is essential in order to receive and process service requests.
You must be able to follow Supervisor & Managers instructions and work well as part of a team. A knowledge of Health & Safety and how to follow risk assessments is also required.
The successful candidates will be based at Park Road depot. You will work a standard 37 hour week, Monday to Friday.

You must have…
A full UK driving licence.
A knowledge of safe working practice in line with Health & Safety
Knowledge of Environmental Services.
Good Customer Service
Be able to work to deadlines
Experience of working as part of a team.
