Due to pupil numbers and staff changes, the Governors of this happy, 2 form entry primary school invite applications for a Midday Supervisor to join our current dedicated team. The successful candidate will be adaptable and understanding and will enjoy interacting and playing games with children aged between 4 and 11 years.
Duties will include supervision of the children in the hall, yards, and school premises to ensure maintenance of good behaviour and discipline and will also include ancillary duties (for example cleaning up spillages, ensuring tables are clean etc).
You will work as part of a team, which is comprised of other Midday Supervisors, a Senior Supervisor and ultimately, you will be responsible to the Headteacher. A very important part of the role is being aware of the health and safety rulings within the school environment and making sure that the pupils in your care are safe, secure, and cared for at all times.
The governors are committed to the safeguarding of children and therefore you will be required to apply for clearance from the Disclosure and Barring Service and other relevant pre-employment checks will be carried out. You will also be expected to attend training in Child Protection and possibly in basic first aid also.
