At the Stockton Sixth Form College site, we are seeking to increase our team of Learning Support Assistants.
You will be primarily working with students aged 16-18 with an EHCP or High Needs funding support studying subjects at Level 2 or 3 in the college. This will entail both in class and independent study support.
You must be able to work on a one to one or group basis with our students and have an understanding of the needs of, and empathy for, students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will have experience of delivering literacy and numeracy support and will hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent.
Normal working hours are between 8.45 am and 3.30 pm each day, but a flexible approach to scheduling work time is essential as evening work may be required depending on internal meeting times, student needs and the requirements of their course timetables.
