We are looking for a full-time Nursery Assistant to join our team who can deliver high quality childcare services for families and children.

You will assist in the delivery of stimulating indoor and outdoor activities suitable for children in the 0 – 5 years age range.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
Some of the duties of the Nursery Assistant role include, but aren’t limited to:

• To assist in leading the provision of a stimulating range of activities both indoors and out, relevant to the needs of children in the (0-5) years age range.

• To ensure parents feel welcome and at ease at in the setting by encouraging participation and discussions.

• To assist in maintaining high standards of hygiene with regard to children, equipment and the premises.

• To encourage the children to develop their independence and individuality within supportive group care, by working as a team member.

• Maintaining accurate records

• To observe, monitor and assess children’s learning in accordance with the EYFS.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working within Early Years Foundation Stage as well as sound knowledge of Safeguarding procedures.

Required qualifications:
Level 3 Cache in Childcare and Education NVQ Level 3 in a Relevant Early Years Childcare and Education Qualification or equivalent Level 1 in Safeguarding Training. Experience working with SEN children.
