We have an exciting opportunity at Richardson Dees for a Learning Support Assistant to join our school and support some of our SEND pupils either 1-2-1 or in small group work. The vacancie is available in EYFS, KS1 and KS2. The position is full-time and will be a fixed term contract for the academic year (Sep-24 – Jul-25)
 
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator who can demonstrate patience and empathy in dealing with pupils, be a team player and be prepared to commit to our school.

Duties will include:
 
  • Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/ Behaviour Plans and Personal Care Programmes.
  • Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
  • Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
  • Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher.
  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self esteem and independence.
