The trustees are seeking to appoint either a Subject Leader or Teacher of Food and Health & Social Care for Sedgefield Community College with effect from September 2024.

Would you like to progress your career in a school judged by Ofsted to be ‘outstanding’ and where student achievement and attitudes are amongst the best across our entire region?  Would you like to work in a school that enjoys exceptional facilities in our state-of-the-art building and where staff wellbeing and opportunities for professional development are at the heart of everything we do?  If the answer to both of these questions is, ‘Yes,’ then Sedgefield Community College could be the right school for you.

If applying for the Subject Leader position, we pride ourselves on being a highly supportive environment and you will benefit from this in an exciting role where you can shape the direction of the subject.  Our aim is to offer our young people an exceptional education and as a Subject Leader, you would become a key leader in enabling us to achieve our aim.

If applying for the teacher position, we particularly welcome applications from candidates who are new to the profession.  We invest a great deal in our programme for Early Career Teachers and are confident that we are a superb environment for those new to teaching who wish to develop rapidly in the early stages of their career.  This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join our Technology team.

Please note that whilst the role relates to Food and Health & Social Care, Food is the primary focus.
