Grade 12 is payable for Approved Mental Health Professional status

We are looking to recruit a temporary 37 hour Social Worker to join the Mental Health Services for Older People Team Derwentside Team.

The Team enjoys excellent working relationships with colleagues in Health and other statutory and non-statutory organisations.


WHAT IS INVOLVED?
The role of the Social Worker within the Mental Health Services will work with older people with mental health needs and will work closely with the Multi-Disciplinary Team, including Community Psychiatric Nurses, Medical staff, Occupational Therapists and Support Workers.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
It is expected that the successful candidate will have experience of working within Adult social care together with an up to date knowledge of multi-agency working and the associated adult care agenda.


Required qualifications: Degree in SW, Dip SW, CSS or CQSW or equivalent, plus Social Work England registration ( or be applying for registration). 


Applicants must be willing to undertake AMHP training, and to act on the AMHP rota when warranted.

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
