Your Role:
 
Supporting Structural Design of Highway Asset: Assist senior engineers with the design of bridges, retaining walls, culverts and other highway related structures
Structural Assessments and Inspections: Conduct inspections of existing highway structures, assessing their condition and identifying maintenance needs
Technical Drawing and Data Analysis: Prepare technical drawings and analyse data to support the design and assessment process
Site Inspections and Data Collection: Conduct thorough inspections of bridges, and other structures, collecting and recording essential data
Technical Drawing and Data Analysis: Prepare technical drawings and analyse data to support design and assessment process 

What You'll Bring:
 
Graduate Member of an Engineering Institution and working towards achieving I. Eng or C. Eng, Engineering Council registered Technician Member working towards I. Eng or C.Eng  or M. Eng (Hons) in Civil Engineering or equivalent 
A strong foundation in civil engineer, with an interest in highway structures
Understanding of structural design principles as they apply to highway structures
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for Infrastructure: Enthusiasm for shaping the built environment and improving lives
Commitment to Newcastle's Vision: Passionate about improving lives and shaping a sustainable future for our city
