Post Title: EAL Advisory Support Teacher – Part-time  0.5 FTE - Temporary for a period of 12 months.

The English as an Additional Language (EAL) & Equalities team are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to join our centrally held team.  This initial contract is temporary for 1 year though may be extended dependant on Government grant funding.
 
The EAL team promotes inclusion and equality of opportunity to ensure improved outcomes for children with English as an additional language (EAL). The EAL Advisory Support Teacher will work across the county contributing to support for EAL pupils and at the same time increasing capacity amongst school staff through guidance and advice. The EAL team supports all the county's schools with the equalities agenda.
 
The successful candidate will develop and deliver professional development to other school staff and other professionals.  The service is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
 
If you have recent and significant experience of EAL pupils and other relevant experience or skills we are waiting to hear from you.
