A full time temporary opportunity at 37 hpw is available for 24 months. 

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will join a welcoming, supportive team, ensuring the functionality, comfort, safety, cleanliness and efficiency of buildings and grounds.

Your duties will include general maintenance activities and repairs, the operation and maintenance of machinery, operation of building management systems, compliance activities as well as property and site security, including key holder responsibilities.

The role also includes some independent work where there will be a reliance on self-motivation, high standards and attention to detail.

You will also be customer-focussed, enhancing customer satisfaction, and building strong customer relationships.

TRAINING
We offer a comprehensive four-week induction and shadowing programme for all new members of the team as well as excellent ongoing training and development opportunities including:

• Key training to enable you to maintain high levels of safety and 
  security.
• Ongoing learning and development opportunities as part of Durham
   County Councils Building and Facilities Management Team.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will need a NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, as well as experience of working in a general maintenance/ premises-based environment.

You should be customer-focussed with good communication skills, and knowledge of safe working practices in a premises-based facilities environment.

If successful, you will be required to undertake and pass an in-house driving assessment as part of our pre-employment checks before any offer of appointment can be confirmed.
