South Tyneside Council are looking to employ a part-time Assisted Travel Senior Business Support Officer to work within the Assisted Travel Team for 30 hours a week.
 
The Assisted Travel Service provides home to school and college transport to students who need assistance and support to enable them to attend education and training.
 
You must have at least 4 GCSEs grade C or above or equivalent including English and Maths.
 
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
 
  • Administrative and business support experience
  • Experience generating purchase orders, receipting and raising invoices
  • Strong ICT skills, including Oracle
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-quality written correspondence skills
  • Effective communication with parents, carers, educational settings and professionals
  • Ability to manage an individual caseload
  • Teamworking and flexibility 

This role is particularly suitable for someone with strong administration, customer service and case management experience who enjoys working in a service that directly supports children and young people accessing education.
