The Governors at Shield Row Primary School are seeking to appoint a high quality, inspirational, outstanding teacher to join our team. The teacher will work with children across the school delivering intervention programmes to small groups of children and covering PPA. The post commences in September 2014 and is a temporary position, initially for one year until 31 August 2015.

The successful candidate will become part of a committed team who have high expectations and demonstrate a caring attitude towards our children’s academic and pastoral development. Our pupils need a teacher who will take an interest in them as individuals and who wishes to ensure that they make excellent progress by making learning exciting and memorable.

• Hold high expectations of pupils and a strong commitment to raising standards,
• Be an inspiring teacher with a desire to make learning exciting, memorable and fun,
• Have the enthusiasm and skills to deliver a creative curriculum,
• A sense of humour and willingness to work as part of a team,
• Have a commitment to the whole life of the school, including providing extra-curricular activities
