Required from September 2014 an enthusiastic and talented teacher of Computing to teach across the age and ability range.
It is desirable that the successful applicant is able to teach GCSE OCR Computing, GCSE Edexcel ICT and Btec Level 2 and Level 3.
• Awareness of different teaching and learning styles
• Ability to communicate effectively with adults and young people
• Willingness to contribute to a successful department by contributing to schemes of work and other documentation
• Ability to maintain a good learning environment
• Ability to teach at least one programming language
• Hardworking and able to meet the demands of the post
•Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
•Able to inspire young people in ICT and Computing
• Able to organise resources, including time
• Having a caring concern for the welfare of pupils
• Be committed to excellent achievement for every pupil
• Communicate a passion for the subject
• Support and promote the ethos of the school
• Be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school
Essential Qualifications:
• Qualified teacher status
• Teaching qualification (or on course to obtain one)
• Good Honours Degree appropriate to post
• Ability to teach Key Stage 3 ICT and Computing
• Ability to teach GCSE Computing and ICT and alternative vocational KS4 courses
• Ability to teach Sixth Form students AS/A2 ICT vocational courses (BTEC)
