There are currently two vacancies for Social Workers - one temporary full time based within the Adoption team until 31st March 2015 and one full time post based within the Fostering team.

Both the Fostering and Adoption Services were judged to be Outstanding Services in the most recent Ofsted inspection.

The Adoption Service is highly successful and innovative in providing quality services to children who require adoption. There is a robust multi-agency approach to improving outcomes, which includes the Full Circle integrated mental health service for children and young people.

These posts will support the Adoption Service in achieving the requirements of the DfE Action Plan on Adoption – Tackling Delay and the Adoption Reform Programme.

The post holders will be responsible for the delivery of high quality adoption social work and support services in line with statute, regulation, national standards, policy and procedure.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - BOTH POSTS

You will need a social work qualification and experience of working with people in a social care setting, including looked after children. HCPC registration is essential.

You will receive in house induction, quality supervision and a commitment to your on going continuing professional development.
