The post is temporary until 31st July 2015.

The post is responsible for the direct provision of assessment, support and progression activities to support existing employees of external organisations to improve their skills and employability, through the provision of focussed training and development activity.

The Training Officer is responsible for the assessment, action planning and referral to programme or specialist services for clients referred to the section. In addition specific training / skills development activities or individual coaching and mentoring will be required as identified through the action planning process.

Essential Qualifications:- The postholder will possess a recognised training / teaching qualification, e.g. City & Guilds 7307, 7407, Cert Ed or appropriate professional qualification and relevant experience.
