We are looking to recruit into our highly motivated and committed Reablement Teams.

Reablement Workers are required to provide ‘hands on’ personal care to service users.

Reablement is about giving people over the age of 18 years the opportunity, motivation and confidence to relearn/regain some of the skills they may have lost as a consequence of poor health, disability/impairment or accident and to gain new skills that will help them to develop and maintain their independence.

The service provides a stepping stone of intensive reablement for people who are eligible for home care services before a long term home care service is provided.

Reablement provides a temporary service and will be provided for up to a maximum of 6 weeks. The emphasis will be to encourage the individual to 'do for' themselves not to 'do to' them. Trained staff will work with individuals in their own home to ensure that they are supported and enabled to practice daily living skills safely.

What do the service users say about our Service?

63% were fully independent after their period within the Reablement Service.

89% felt that their quality of life had improved.

99.7% were happy with the way they were treated within the Reablement
Service.

96% felt more confident.

97% were satisfied with the Service they had received from the Reablement
Service.

The Reablement Service is committed to developing a culture of promoting independence and has a strong teamwork ethic.
