Cleveland Fire Brigade is looking to recruit a Health & Fitness Co-Ordinator to work as a member of the HR team playing a key role in delivering the highest of service to internal and external customers. Your enthusiasm and persuasiveness will ensure that you, and the people you support, will achieve the Brigade’s priorities.

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a good understanding of exercise and behavioural change strategies. Key tasks of the role will require you to conduct fitness tests and to design and deliver personalised exercise programmes. You will lead and support a network of fire station based Fitness Instructors and will be responsible for promoting workplace health and wellbeing initiatives across all locations.

The successful candidate must have experience of working within the fitness industry and experience conducting one-on-one fitness testing. You will have a Sports Science Degree or be a member of Register of Exercise Professionals (REPS) level 3 as a minimum.

Although not a frequent requirement you must be willing to work shifts, including weekends and Bank Holidays, in order to meet business needs when required.
