A vacancy has arisen within ICT Services for an IT Officer who has detailed knowledge and experience of WordPress together with a good knowledge of current web development languages, including HTML5, CSS3,
PHP/MySQL, XML jQuery/Javascript, AJAX, SEO, MAMP, eCommerce, Building and
Managing responsive sites.

The post holder should be familiar with web standards and usability and have a flexible approach with an eagerness to identify, learn, and use new and changing technologies

Transfer and update information from existing SharePoint websites to new or re-designed WordPress or GOSS versions. This will involve working from initial concepts, creating site architecture and user interface design to finished deliverable Code.

As well as working with pre-existing WordPress themes, the post holder will be expected to have the ability to create custom themes and be involved in creating and updating re-usable code libraries to streamline our WordPress development.

Candidates should have HND or higher (or equivalent) in Web Design or associated field.
