At Backworth Park Primary School we wish to appoint an enthusiastic, energetic and highly competent Teaching Assistant who can work effectively as part of a team to deliver a high quality learning experience for our children. We are looking for someone who has the ability to build good working relationships with both pupils and adults and who has good literacy and numeracy skills. Experience in interventions and working across all age ranges is essential.

The candidate must hold a Teaching Assistant Qualification and have experience in working with children. They must also have the ability to manage children and have excellent behaviour management skills.

The role will include :
• Carrying out teaching interventions
• Preparing classrooms for lessons
• Helping pupils who need extra support to complete tasks, individually and
in groups
• Observing pupil performance and reporting observations to the teacher
• Supervising break and lunchtimes
• Display work
• Listening to pupils read and reading to children
• Helping with trips and sporting events

This post is fixed term until the 31 July 2019, term time only over 193 days, 37 hours per week.
