Opportunities have arisen for 8 x permanent Leisure Assistants to support the Culture and Sport team in providing a high quality service to customers that is safe, efficient and enjoyed by users.

Permanent posts are at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, Spennymoor Leisure Centre, Louisa Centre Stanley and Consett Leisure Centre.

Casual opportunities are also available across various localities.

The attached preference form should also be completed and returned.

Successful candidates must possess relevant experience within a customer focused environment and/or leisure centre and/or Gym.

Required Qualifications:

• National Pool Lifeguard qualification (if facility has a Swimming Pool) and/or
• Level 2 gym instructor or equivalent in an appropriate area
• First Aid Certificate or ability to work towards the qualification within an
agreed time scale.

The successful applicants for these posts will be required to apply for Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

Interviews are anticipated to be held Week commencing 10/12/18 at Spennymoor Leisure Centre
