Tyne and Wear Homes is a partnership of Gateshead Borough Council, Newcastle City Council, North Tyneside Council and South Tyneside Council, their housing providers and Registered Social Housing landlords. Together these landlords own or manage over 100,000 homes.

Tyne and Wear Homes advertises affordable housing across the region via the Website https://www.tyneandwearhomes.org.uk/. It provides advice on a range of other housing choices, such as mutual exchange, renting with a private landlord and low-cost home ownership.

The website and its systems are a critical element of the customer experience in applying for Social Housing in the region and we are looking for an individual to work with the partnership and improve the service offer.

The Role

We are looking to appoint an experienced Project Officer, preferably with ICT skills and knowledge, who can work with our partners and contractors to manage technical support, service improvements as well as oversee the day to day operation work of the partnership’s ICT provision.

You will work independently across the partnership, reporting into Newcastle City Council, providing management reporting, budget support, the evaluation of key business initiatives, and the provision of information to enable the work of the partnership.

We are looking for someone who will overcome barriers and are able to display a problem-solving outlook to service provision. You will be able to manage your own workload and be able to respond to requests for service as a matter of priority.

We are looking for someone who will be able to train and share knowledge of the system with partners so skills in this area are desirable.

For more Information on the role please contact Claire McMullen, Newcastle City Council, on 0191 2771431 or claire.mcmullen@newcastle.gov.uk or John Urwin
