AHT Data Systems, STEM and Timetable
Leadership Scale L12 - 16
(Member of Leadership Group)

This is a key post within the school and will form a strategic role in our Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will be a motivated and inspirational teacher and leader, and will be the strategic lead for Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths as well as leading our Data Systems. You will possess a strong commitment to raising achievement and standards along with an informed and creative approach to curriculum delivery and timetable development.
The school received its second ‘Good’ from Ofsted in June 2018 but does in fact have many outstanding features. We are therefore looking for someone who is perhaps ready for their first promotion onto Senior Leadership, or someone who wants a new challenge to help this school become outstanding, as judged by Ofsted.

‘Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. As a disability confident employer, we are committed to employing disabled people and people with health conditions making reasonable adjustments to support disabled applicants when required’

As part of BSF the school has undergone an £8.5 million refurbishment, so facilities are state of the art. The school is also to benefit from the development of a floodlit FA standard 3G football pitch. Situated only 8 miles to the east of Durham City the school is well located for access to the A19 and A1(M). It is also within comfortable driving distance of affordable housing and areas of outstanding natural beauty.

Durham County Council is an Equal Opportunities Employer. We want to develop a more diverse workforce and we positively welcome applications from all sections of the community. Applicants with disabilities will be invited for interview if the essential job criteria are met. The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Any offer of employment to this post will be subject to receipt of a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service).
