FINANCE OFFICER
Grade 6 £21,166 - £23,836
(37hrs per week, full time, whole time)


We are looking for a suitably qualified professional to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and hardworking, with proven skills and experience of working with computerised financial management systems.

The successful candidate will:
• You will be qualified AAT or part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA).
• Have extensive knowledge of ICT including SIMS, FMS, Microsoft Excel and financial systems
• Have the ability to follow instructions, work accurately while under pressure and to prioritise work
• Have experience of financial procedures, including budget monitoring, purchase ledger, accounts receivable and cash handling.
• You will have experience of obtaining best value from suppliers.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post. Please note that this position is whole time, which means that you will be in attendance at work all year round (52 weeks a year) and will have an annual leave entitlement (26 days if you have less than 5 years continuous local government service, 31 days if you have in excess of 5 years continuous local government service; pro rata for part time).
