Governors wish to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated temporary Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to supervise pupils during the lunchtime period (12noon to 1.15pm) working 6.25 hours per week.

The post is temporary as it is to cover for a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will have successful experience of working in a team.

Duties include:
· Supervising hand washing and preparing for lunch.
· Supervising children during lunchtime in school and on the playground.
· Encouraging children with food, promoting good manners and healthy choices.
· Assisting with cleaning tables, wiping down and maintaining cleanliness of the lunch area.
· Communicating with pupils, maintaining good behaviour in line with the school’s policies and being willing to arrange and play games.

This position is paid whole time with retainer adjustments applied to periods of school closure. You will not be required to work during the school closure periods however your salary in these periods will be adjusted accordingly in line with the retainer regulations as specified in the National Joint Council (NJC) Green Book agreement.
