An opportunity has arisen for a permanent full time Social Worker to join our team within the First Contact and MASH service at Durham County Council. We are seeking a Social Worker who has completed their Assessed and Supported Year in Employment.

You will be an experienced Social Worker in Children's services and will be responsible for receiving, screening, assessing and applying threshold to safeguarding referrals and to undertake appropriate checks, speak directly to family members and other professionals, and outcome to the appropriate service within timescales.

The post is utilising signs of safety and is based within a large, stable, multi agency team. The role is office based 8.30 - 5pm and 4.30 on a Friday.

Required qualifications: Degree in social work or equivalent social work qualification, e.g. Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work (PDDipSW) Certificate of Qualification in Social Work (CQSW), Diploma in Social Work (DipSW), Certificate in Social Services (CSS) AND Current Social Work England Registration.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.

It is anticipated that interviews will take place on 7th September.
