The governors of Wingate Primary School are looking for two excellent teachers to join our team to cover two maternity leaves. The successful candidates will need to be highly focused, open to working as part of a team, able to further develop initiatives in our school and be willing to build upon the opportunities we try our best to provide for our children and for our staff.
They will be willing to play a full part in the wider life of our school as well as build on the high standards we expect for our children.

We are looking for Teachers who show understanding of and values highly the rights of children – we are a Gold RRSA school.

The successful candidates must be able to promote a love of learning and children’s intellectual curiosity. They should be excellent classroom practitioners, promoting the positive ethos and core values of our school – both inside and outside of the classroom.

We expect members of our team to plan and deliver lessons which enable children to engage in effective learning and use assessment to promote the best progress possible for all children. They must fundamentally focus on caring for the emotional needs of our children at all times.

Our school is on two sites and so the candidates must be able to communicate effectively as part of their role and be highly organised to ensure provision for our children is seamless.

The posts are temporary and are in Y1 and Y5
The posts are open to NQTs.

Where our roles are customer facing and you are required to speak to members of the public, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
As a disability confident employer, we are committed to employing disabled people and people with health conditions making reasonable adjustments to support disabled applicants when required.

Application packs including the job specification are available to collect from the school office or by e-mailing m.wilson303@durhamlearning.net and should be returned to the same e-mail address or delivered to the school.

Visits to the school would be very welcome if it were not for the current Covid-19 situation. Please contact school and the Head Teacher will be happy to speak with you to give a flavour of our school and what the post will entail.
