A Promotion and Sales Development Officer Career Pathway post has been created to support the development of the councils Service Level Agreement (SLA) business across the region. This is a new and exciting post which will provide opportunity, challenge and a clear career pathway for the successful candidate.

The post holder should be motivated, positive, creative and proactive in their work. Candidates should have an interest in promotion and sales, specifically in how promotional tools can be used to raise awareness of Council services and develop new business leads.

In this role, the post holder will support the identification of new business development opportunities and liaise with the councils Communications and Marketing Teams to promote via existing and newly identified promotion channels such as the web, Twitter, newsletters and targeted promotional campaigns.

Candidates need to be working towards a relevant qualification at level 4 and have experience in a sales/promotion role.

The role will involve a graded career structure from grade 6 to 9 with progression dependant on achievement of relevant qualifications, experience and demonstration of competency commensurate with the career grade level.
