Social Work Assistant

37 hrs temporary until 30th June 2022 subject to the return of the substantive postholder

We are looking to appoint a temporary Social Work Assistant to work within the Durham and Chester Le Street Locality Team.

The Team provides an effective and efficient Assessment and Care Management service to adults 18 years and over with a physical disability, older people, and their carers.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of key policy drivers and issues affecting the Team’s service user groups and their carers. They will be able to work with partner agencies, providers, and other professionals in order to ensure that needs are assessed and met in an appropriate and timely manner.

Required Qualifications: 5 GCSEs (A-C grades), or equivalent relevant qualification.

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week beginning 10th January, 2022

**Covid-19 Vaccination
This role falls within the scope of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) (Amendment) (Coronavirus) Regulations 2021. These Regulations require you to demonstrate that you have received a complete course of your Covid-19 vaccination, unless exemptions apply. A complete course may refer to one or two doses of the vaccine, depending on the type of vaccine. It does not cover booster doses. Extending the policy to cover booster doses would require amending the regulations and be subject to parliamentary approval
