Post Title: Registered Homes Manager, Children’s Residential Homes

Job Location: Sherburn Park House, County Durham

The role
We are looking for someone with experience and commitment to manage an already successful children’s home offering short break care to children and young people with a disability.

You and your team will be responsible for putting the voice, health, and wellbeing of our children and young people at the centre of everything you do ensuring time spent in our care is fun, memorable, and action-packed.

You will have an extensive remit, this will include the day-to-day management of the home ensuring effective and timely delivery of care through a trauma-informed approach as well as management and support of an established team ensuring skills, knowledge and expertise are continually developed and updated

Skills and experience
We are looking for someone who:
• Puts children and young people at the centre of everything we do
• Is committed to exceptional service delivery
• Has proven leadership and management experience
• Has knowledge and understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 and experience of regulatory inspections including Ofsted and Regulation 44
• Has knowledge of evidence-based practice and research in relation to looked after children

Removal, lodging and separation expenses will be available to the successful candidate if at the time of application for appointment their place of residence is outside the administrative area of County Durham and in excess of 30 miles in a straight line from the their new administrative centre, along with a number of other criteria for eligibility.

The successful applicant for this post will be required to apply for a Disclosure & Barring Service Enhanced Disclosure.
