A fantastic new management opportunity has become available within the Progression and Learning Team. We are looking to appoint a Project Manager to ensure the successful delivery of our new DurhamWorks Futures programme.

The aim of DurhamWorks Futures is to support unemployed young people aged 16-24 yrs in County Durham achieve their aspirations and gain paid employment opportunities. It is a programme aimed at specific vulnerable cohorts of young people, offering them a more intensive and personalised approach to support.

The role will manage the development, implementation, and evaluation of the project, ensuring the funding is maximised for delivery and there is compliance with all project, data, and audit requirements. The role will lead and provide line management to Job Coaches and a small team who will support the administrative and finance functions, all needing to be achieved through the development of highly effective working relationships.

We are seeking individuals who have suitable experience of managing projects and teams, ensuring performance and quality of delivery. You will need to have drive and enthusiasm, as well as an understanding of the challenges faced by young people who are unemployed.

Required qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline and/or able to demonstrate extensive relevant experience.
