Post Title: Sessional Learning Delivery Assistant – 4 posts

Salary: £23, 953 - £27,514- Grade 7 (pro-rata to hours worked)

Job Location: Office staff base: Civic Centre, Crook, however, you may be required to work at any council workplace and a range of other venues within County Durham.

We are looking to recruit sessional Learning Delivery Assistants to join our team. Under the direction of the allocated Programme Lead, the post holder will be required to assist lecturers to address the needs of the learners who require help to overcome barriers to learning. This involves in-class support, supporting learners online in live sessions and some 1-1 study coaching outside of class time, directed by the lecturer. The post holder will help to contribute towards the delivery of a high-quality learning and skills experience; contribute to the preparation of the learning environment; handling and set up of equipment and learning resources to aid the delivery.

Ideally, applicants will have some experience of working with 14yrs+ learners and/or SEND / LLDD / SEMH / ESOL - a combination of.

Required qualifications: Diploma in Specialist Support in Teaching and Learning at Level 3 or equivalent qualifications in teaching, and Level 2 in English and maths or equivalent qualifications.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates with experience of supporting learners with maths, English, and ESOL.
