Social Work Assistant
Temporary 37hrs until 31/3/2024 subject to return of the substantive postholder

Salary: £22,369 - £24,496/£24,054 - £26,845 pa. i.e. , Grade 5 pre progression / Grade 6 post progression

We are looking to appoint a temporary Social Work Assistant to work within the Easington Locality Team.

The Team provides an effective and efficient Assessment and Care Management service to adults 18 years and over with a physical disability, older people, and their carers.

The successful candidate will have a good understanding of key policy drivers and issues affecting the Team’s service user groups and their carers. They will be able to work with partner agencies, providers, and other professionals in order to ensure that needs are assessed and met in an appropriate and timely manner.

Required Qualifications: 5 GCSEs including English Language (9-4/A-C grades) or equivalent relevant qualification

It is anticipated that interviews will be held week commencing 13th February, 2023.
Interviews may be held remotely via Microsoft Teams.

The appointment of the successful applicant will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced level DBS check.

Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer
