Middlesbrough Schools & Academies - About Us

Situated on the North East coast of England, Middlesbrough is at the centre of the Tees Valley conurbation and is strategically positioned between Newcastle to the north and Leeds to the south. Whilst there are plenty of reasons to stay local, the Cleveland Hills, North Yorkshire Moors, Yorkshire Dales and North East Coast are all within easy reach.

The town has excellent transport links, with easy access to the East Coast main rail-line and both Durham Tees Valley and Newcastle airports.
Teesport, the UK’s second largest port, lies a few miles to the east of the Borough’s boundary.

There is a lot to see in and around Middlesbrough including the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum, Stewart Park, Nature's World, the Dorman Museum and the iconic Transporter Bridge.

Middlesbrough Schools and Academies are responsible for providing the Borough's young people access to the best possible learning opportunities so that they can achieve their full potential.

Each School and Academy provides a safe, happy, caring, exciting and stimulating environment.

Opportunities are provided for pupils to encounter a wide range of experiences, enabling them to become independent learners with a love of learning.
With a culture of high achievement for all, the aim is to prepare children for their future as life-long learners and as caring people within their communities.
