St. Joseph's is a small, welcoming Catholic Primary school in Highfield, Rowlands Gill. We have 111 pupils on roll in a site with excellent facilities, shared with Highfield Community Primary school.

The Governors and Headteacher are looking to appoint a multi-skilled administrator with excellent inter-personal skills. This is a key role within the school and the successful candidate will be expected to work both independently and as part of a small team within a busy shared school office environment. The position is to commence on April 16th subject to successful clearances.

The ideal candidate would need to show initiative, be confident, pro-active and be able to contribute to the team ethos. He or she needs to be able to remain calm under pressure and be an excellent ambassador for our school for all visitors.

We are looking for a person who has-
An understanding of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of the children in our care.
Experience of delivering an outstanding level of customer service in a customer-facing role.
Excellent Literacy and Numeracy skills.
Good keyboarding skills.
A range of ICT skills including word processing and data input.
The ability to use relevant office equipment (keyboard, photocopier).
NVQ 3 in Business Admin or equivalent qualification in relevant discipline.
Experience of using SIMS/AGRESSO or equivalent computerised accounting system.
Experience of working in a primary school reception/ school administrative office.

It would be desirable for the candidate to have:
RSA Level 2 or equivalent.
An understanding and support of the unique ethos of a catholic school and our role in the parish and diocese.
