Based between Chester le Street and Freemans Quay Leisure Centres

Maternity Cover – Temporary until 15/6/2018 or until the substantive post holder returns

To coordinate and deliver high quality aquatics and swimming classes and activities at a range of leisure centres, including line managing the aquatics instructors and swim teachers.

To work to and achieve the coaching instruction standards set out by relevant aquatics national representative or governing body, eg ASA

To ensure that aquatics employees adhere to effective service standards, systems and procedures

To build and lead an aquatics team that is motivated, positive, customer focussed and that implements a “can do” culture

To organise suitable, effective and efficient staffing rotas and operations to meet the aquatics brand’s business needs, programme requirements and budget provision

To actively assist the centre in continuous improvement and development of performance and quality

Undertaking coaching/instruction to individuals and groups of all ages

Required Qualifications: ASA Swimming Teachers Level 2, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in an appropriate area
