This is an exciting time to join the Art Team at Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, to support the delivery of the Hatton Gallery’s exhibition programme and to provide access to and care for the gallery’s collections.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Keeper of Art to work with our Keepers of Art, Exhibition Officer and Learning Officer to provide curatorial support for the Hatton Gallery for a fixed term period while a staff member is on maternity leave. The post will be primarily based at the Hatton Gallery but will also involve working at the Laing Art Gallery and other Tyne & Wear Archives & Museum sites upon occasion.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, assistant curator with a thirst for a varied and busy working environment. This is an ideal opportunity to develop skills to become an experienced, flexible and multi-skilled art curator.
