Fixed term to cover maternity leave
37 hours per week, term time plus 5 days during school holidays

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multi-academy trust of five schools delivering a seamless education to 2-19 year olds in the east of Newcastle.

Required from May 2018 to enable a handover with the current postholder, we are seeking an experienced Attendance Officer who can join the trust’s small central team and have a positive impact on attendance across all of our schools. This role builds on the active management of attendance by leadership and pastoral staff in each school and focuses on interventions with specific cases where focused support and challenge is needed.

With knowledge of attendance procedures and strategies, you will be able to manage your own caseload proactively and work effectively with headteachers and other professionals. You will also be able to relate well to pupils of all ages and their parents and be able to impact positively on attitudes and behaviour in relation to attendance.

This is a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave and it will end when the post holder return to work. It is expected to last for up to 12 months.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is essential that all staff and volunteers share this commitment. You will need to have an enhanced criminal records check by the Disclosure and Barring Service.

A completed application form and criminal records declaration form must be submitted by 9am on Monday 19 March 2018 by email to admin@neat.org.uk

Shortlisting date: Wednesday 21 March 2018
