We require enthusiastic Leisure Assistants to join our current team to encourage individuals lead a more active and healthy lifestyle.
Go Gateshead is the newly developed brand for Gateshead Council's sport and leisure service, and operates 6 high quality facilities, including the iconic Gateshead International Stadium, and a community sport and physical
activity development function.
Our facilities include the state of the art Technogym equipment in gyms, high quality fitness studios as well as sports halls, squash courts, multi function rooms and a Flow rider.
Go Gateshead is focussed on achieving a vision of operating without a subsidy from Gateshead Council by 2020, delivering high quality facilities and services that meet the demands of our customers.
As well as supervising of both the pool area and Clip n Climb facility, the role will also include carrying out a range of safety checks and ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness. You will also ensure customers receive the highest levels of customer support.
Leisure Assistants will help ensure equipment is set up and taken down for customer bookings.
It is essential that you hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Award (NPLQ) and be able to demonstrate that you are a strong swimmer.
You must have experience of providing high levels of customer care, whilst knowledge of cleaning operations and undertaking safety checks is desirable.
If successful you will have to apply for an enhanced Disclosure.
