Due to a number of staffing changes and expansion we are in the exciting position of looking for a teacher with the passion and commitment to provide the very best education for children in Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2.
You would be joining a large team of highly supportive teachers in this outstanding, very popular and dynamic school where high standards of achievement in academic, sporting and artistic success are central to our core purpose. The school achieved outstanding in all areas in our recent OFSTED inspection in February 2015 and we have recently been granted status as a National Teaching School by the Department for Education.

West Jesmond is a large, very successful and happy school occupying a new PFI building, in the heart of a vibrant and diverse community. The Leadership team and governing body are looking to appoint the very best teachers to join our team who will make a real positive contribution to the education of our fantastic children. Currently we have 620 children on roll in three forms per year groups. We are consistently over subscribed for our 90 places in Reception each year with a waiting list.

We are very happy to welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers. We can offer you full support and guidance during your first year of teaching if you are newly qualified or continued professional development if you are further on in your career. Depending on our future expansion through Teaching School Status we will be looking to appoint either 1 or 2 teachers from September 2017.
