A vacancy has arisen for a Communications Officer working within the North Pennines AONB Partnership Staff Unit based in Stanhope, Weardale.

The Communications Officer will support the external communication of the North Pennines AONB Partnership by promoting our work through a range of channels. The post-holder will work across the team and co-ordinate a broad range of communication activity. Previous experience of effective corporate print and broadcast press management is essential. The Communications Officer will maintain all the Partnership’s websites to a high standard ensuring effective legislative compliance and customer focus. This will involve developing and improving the websites to keep pace with change and to ensure accuracy is maintained. Optimising our social media output will be a key part of the role, so experience of effectively managing corporate, digital communication including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube and Google+ accounts will be required.
Good project and time management skills are a pre-requisite.

Candidates should be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and have significant relevant work experience.

The post is temporary for 3 years with the possibility of extension thereafter.
