We’re looking for a creative and strategic communications and marketing professional to lead engagement with businesses across the North East and drive awareness of Business North East, our new region-wide business support service.
The Role
You'll lead communications, marketing and engagement activity across our business growth portfolio, with a particular focus on launching and growing Business North East.
Working with local authorities and business support partners, you'll deliver integrated campaigns, manage digital channels, promote events and help businesses connect with the support they need to grow.
You'll also oversee communications for programmes including Shine, regeneration and inward investment activity, and support engagement with our Business Advisory Council and industry leaders.
About You
You'll have experience delivering successful communications and marketing campaigns in a business and investment environment, building strong stakeholder relationships and creating engaging content across multiple channels.
You'll be a confident collaborator, organised project manager and skilled communicator who can turn complex priorities into clear and compelling messages.

This isn't a traditional corporate communications role. It's a hands-on opportunity to promote business growth, shape a new regional service and work with partners across the North East to deliver meaningful impact.
