Post title: Cover Pool Teacher - casual

Salary: centrally employed teachers appointed to the pool will be a paid an hourly rate based on Teachers Pay Range A3 or MPR 2, depending on qualifications and the work undertaken.

Job Location: the post holder will be required to work at various locations throughout County Durham and Darlington

Durham Music Service requires a pool of temporary instrumental staff, to be used to cover staff absence. Durham Music Service is the lead partner in the Music Education Hub for County Durham and Darlington.
Applications will be particularly welcomed from teachers able to deliver tuition in:
• general curriculum music for EYFS/KS1/KS2
• singing
• woodwind (clarinet, flute and saxophone)
• brass

Successful applicants will be involved in delivering both whole class ‘First Access’ programmes and small group tuition.

Applicants must have a recognised music performance qualification (Grade 8 or equivalent) on their principal instrument and either a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.

The job involves travel across County Durham /Darlington Borough and candidates must be able to meet this provision.
