Further information

This is an exciting opportunity to join a very successful and over-subscribed school. Our school has a really positive ethos, with very strong pastoral and academic guidance and a real emphasis on learning in everything we do. We were inspected by Ofsted in May 2012 and were graded as Outstanding in every category and overall. Such significant progress has only been possible because we have a committed, enthusiastic and highly skilled staff team, a supportive governing body and superb students. We genuinely believe the support, care and welfare of our students is second to none and we are a school which puts the students at the very centre of all that it does.

Ofsted said that our students receive “a first-class education” but we are not a complacent school. There are many aspects that we can improve further and our challenge is to do this without compromising our existing strengths.

We are looking for reliable and flexible exam invigilators to join our existing friendly team. You will be enthusiastic with effective communication skills and the ability to be a confident and reassuring presence to candidates in exam rooms. This is a casual post based around the school's examination schedules. Applicants must be available to work during May and June.

George Stephenson High School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and we expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure will be sought along with other relevant employment checks deemed appropriate.
