This is your opportunity to lead the future development of one of the country’s most successful cultural organisations. Following the retirement of the present Director, you will need to lead and develop new plans to steer Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (TWAM) through a period of great uncertainty and social change: leading us out of lockdown and preparing our application to Arts Council for the next round of National Portfolio Organisation funding.
You will need a sustained track record of effective leadership at a senior level, with experience of driving transformational change and continuous improvement across organisations; a proven track record of achievement in facilitating and supporting community participation and social inclusion; and evidence of success in developing constructive relationships with a range of external partners and agencies to deliver sustainable service improvement.
If this opportunity excites you, and you have the ability to act as a champion for TWAM and advocate for the value of archives and museums please look at our application pack for more information about the role and its requirements.
Closing date for applications: 17 December 2020.
