The Governors of Kelvin Grove Primary School are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant. You will support teachers with resources, planning and creating a highly stimulating learning environment which provides rich, varied and imaginative experiences. This will be achieved through 1:1 and small group work and by providing in-class support. Experience of assessing pupils' progress through regular observations of pupils engaging in structured play and a good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile would be beneficial.

The ideal candidate will have a strong Early Years background and a Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification or above.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

A solid understanding of the Early Years curriculum and ethos.
High expectations of children's learning and behaviour.
Excellent classroom practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to lead and work collaboratively as a member of a team.
Energy, enthusiasm and a good sense of humour.
A commitment to work in close partnership with parents and carers.
