Further information

The Ponteland Primary/Secondary Partnership of schools is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Educational Psychologist to support the development and wellbeing of children and young people across a number of schools.

We look forward to hearing from you if you:
• Are a qualified, registered Educational Psychologist
• Have experience working with children, young people and families
• Have a thorough understanding of child development
• Are optimistic, reliable, energetic and reflective
• Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a team
• Would like to contribute to shaping the service delivery model across the partnership to reflect the requirements of The Children and Families Act 2014

We seek to promote the use of inclusive, evidence-based, practices to help children and young people overcome barriers to educational achievement; social and emotional well-being; and mental health. The successful applicant will work with named schools within the partnership.

Although based in a central location in Ponteland, the successful applicant will be expected to establish a presence in all partner schools. An essential criteria of this role is the ability to travel to all schools in the partnership on a regular basis.

Working Pattern – 30 hours per week during term time plus 5 additional days.

Contract Type – Fixed term for 12 months from September 2017 (subject to review after initial term).

Please contact Mrs Lynn Blain, Headteacher, Ponteland First School or Mr Kieran McGrane, Headteacher, Ponteland High School for informal discussions.

The appointment will be subject to enhanced DBS clearance for the successful applicant. We are committed to equality and diversity.
