The Durham Federation is a ‘hard’ Federation of two small 11 to 16 community colleges in County Durham. The Federation enables Fyndoune Community College and Durham Community Business College to offer a broader, more engaging curriculum for students, and means staff can easily share best practice and learn from each other.
Each academic year we require a team of responsible people based on each school site to invigilate our examinations during the main summer exam period in May and June.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, an enhanced attention to detail and the ability to work on their own initiative. Ideally, you will also have experience working in a school environment and some knowledge of the ‘Instructions for the Conduct of Examinations’ produced annually by the JCQ (Joint Council for Qualifications).
However, although previous experience of working in a invigilation role is desirable it is not essential as full training will be provided
